PV Modules




The quality of PV modules is critical to guarantee that the PV system will perform in the short and long term. STS provides you with a wide range of testing services following the latest IEC standards or using STS advanced quality requirements when criteria were not exhaustively defined by IEC or UL. Tests are conducted at IECEE accredited laboratories approved by STS.

SUN SIMULATION AT NOMINAL OPERATING CELL TEMPERATURE (NOCT)

Determine how your modules will perform under Nominal Operating Cell Temperature (NOCT).

ELECTROLUMINESCENCE AND IMAGING ANALYSIS

Make sure the cells featured in your solar panels contain no micro-cracks by submitting to an electroluminescence (EL) analysis.

PERFORMANCE AT LOW IRRADIANCE

As standard test conditions are usually not met in the field, we ensure that the behavior of the modules under weaker light conditions will guarantee a minimum production of electricity even during low insolation conditions.

POTENTIAL-INDUCED DEGRADATION (PID)

Make sure your PV modules are not subject to PID, and perform as expected in hot and humid conditions.

LIGHT-INDUCED DEGRADATION (LID)

As PV modules’ power output decreases proportionally the most when the panels are exposed to sunlight for the first time, STS’ LID tests enable to determine how the modules will behave at the beginning of their life cycle.

MEASUREMENT OF TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENTS
