During pre-shipment inspection, our inspectors found that some modules are contained in wrong pallets with smaller size. If not caught, this negligence will quite certainly cause damages to the modules during transportation.
We also caught more than 4,000 modules for which the manufacturing data was wrongly entered into the manufacturer’s tracking system, making some of the readings completely unreliable.
And once again, we captured this month another example of faulty calibration of a flasher, leading to over-estimation of the maximum power point. This particular issue was captured during pre-shipment inspection.
Lack of quality production consciousness, lack of proper test equipment maintenance and calibration, lack of adequate training…These are all root-causes identified this month and corrected by the manufacturer before they can ship to STS customers. Inspection on-site can help to stop these mis-practices spread and lead to damaging consequences.
